Forecasts
The Ministry of Tourism predicts that tourism in Auckland will grow faster than other regions in the next six years.
It estimates that:
- Total visits by travellers to Auckland RTO are forecast to rise 9.3 percent between 2009 and 2015
- International visitor nights spent in Auckland will grow by 15.2 percent between 2009 and 2015
- Domestic visitor nights spent in Auckland will grow by 4.1 percent between 2009 and 2015
